I have a 6 month old Boston Terrier/Pub dog named Riley. Both breeds separately are known to be stubborn, so you can just imagine the combination. During my first meeting with Steve I noticed improvements with Riley; he was able to calm down so he could be trained. Steve gave me the information and helpful hints needed so that I could train Riley. Thanks to his help the next six months will be easier than the last.

I highly recommend Steve Croteau to train your dog. I adopted Karah (5 year old Shepherd/Doberman/Husky mix from the local animal shelter. She could not walk on a leash properly and was basically uncontrollable, including food aggression and jumping up on people. After her first lesson, we all noticed a big change in her; she even seemed happier! By the time of her third lesson, it was like having a new dog!! While we are not taking lessons any more, I use Steve’s techniques daily and if I were to have any questions or concerns, I would not hesitate to call him. Steve will work wonders with your dog, he will get right down on the floor with them so he can be at their level. It is a lot of work for both you and your dog. But well worth the time and effort that everyone puts into it. And what will happen is that not only will you be much happier, so will your dog! Our family dog became an alpha dog with a “Napolean” complex. The evaluation of our dog by Steve revealed he was spoiled, not vicious. Steve recommended four training sessions. During the dog’s training, our family established leadership with our dog, but through positive reinforcement. We alse learned how to use a gentle leader. After the training, we saw great improvement in our dog’s behavior. Although our dog’s training is on-going, Steve has made himself available through phone calls or home visits if needed.

We adopted a six month old puppy who had two previous owners. We could tell that he was going to be a great dog, but he brought along some extra baggage with him. He had attended a puppy manners class with one of his other owners and we took him to an obedience school as well. He did great in school, but he had a difficult time transitioning what he had learned in school to home. We spoke with our vet regarding some of our dog’s behavior problems and she told us that many of her clients had great success with Steve Croteau at Babbling Brook Farm. When I first spoke with Steve, I distinctly remember telling him how overwhelmed I was with our new puppy, and how quickly I was beginning to resent him. I think that I may have even told him that I “hated my new dog and that he was ruining my life”.
After speaking with Steve over the phone, I felt confident that he would be able to help us. Steve was willing to come to our home at times that were convenient to us. It seemed like no time at all before we were given the knowledge on how to control our dog.
